So there was this story yesterday.

I guess it came out on Monday.

And I was not ready to even discuss it here on the show yesterday until I had more information about it.

And then it's kind of a story that I don't really believe it necessarily.

But a lot of college football stories don't necessarily make it.

They make it to our radar, but they don't make it to the show because they're not

necessarily relevant to us here in Ann Arbor.

Well, this one kind of is because it's about Michigan's Week 2 opponent.

They are in the news because Oklahoma quarterback John Matier is in news specifically.

It's a weird story.

So I need to read some more and get some more reporting on this before I brought it up on the show.

And because yesterday it was definitely going to be a premature moment to discuss it.

But after I was reading, I kind of had to discuss it.

It went from being like a rumor to like fairly widely reported.

So reportedly, Venmo payments to a friend appeared on social media.

And there were three of them.

And they have since, I guess, disappeared.

And he has since taken his account private.

But there were three.

There were, um, Mateer sent money twice to a friend under the caption,

quote unquote, sports gambling.
