There were some legacies from other schools that joined the Michigan football program this year,

including the next young man who was out of Novi, Michigan, but he played his high school football down at IMG Academy.

He is a 6'2-299-pound offensive lineman.

He is Caden Strayhorn, and he had a great conversation with Sam yesterday, so let's get to Cade right now.

And I don't know if you remember that, that sort of coming out party.

But I mean, do you remember what people were saying?

Because everyone just assumed you were going to Michigan State.

Did you feel like people kind of had that preconceived notion and wouldn't let you shake it?

Yeah, I mean, especially just because my name, I thought a lot of people did think that.

But my dad would always tell people like they told you, like, I was very open to any school regardless of, like, a rivalry because of my dad and anything like that.

And so, yeah, that was like, it played a big role in my recruitment for sure.

So when, though, when was it that you said that I am really open to Michigan?
