Sam Webb, Devin Gardner, Daniel Horton, we're having a conversation about Chip Lindsay,

Michigan's new offensive coordinator with Al Borges, who has known Chip for quite some time now.

That conversation continues now.

So here are Sam, Devin, Daniel, and Alborges here on the Michigan Insider on the Big 1050 WTK.

Isn't that the most scary thing?

Even for you, coach, when you were, you know, getting position coaches together,

when you were coordinating, like, the guy that you have a beer with, right?

And it's just like, man, this is really tricking me into thinking that he should be the guy,

but maybe the guy that maybe you just don't relate with as far as outside of football, maybe that is the guy. You know what I mean?

Sometimes. That's tough. That's a tough thing to do when you really enjoy being around a guy,

but maybe he's just not the guy for the job. And the guy that you just didn't hit it off with

is probably the best guy, maybe sometimes. Yeah, sometimes it is.

And that's why, you know, when you bring a guy in, you've got to have them.

You know, I want to say something that I thought was really great that is on what Devon's saying is when I was, when I interviewed in Oregon with Mike Bellotti back in

95, he would have all the coaches do something with the candidate.

Okay. So one guy pick him up at the airport, bring him back. Another guy would take him to lunch,

okay? Another guy would spend a few minutes with him just talking about ball. And then another guy

would take him to dinner that night. Another guy would take him back. So then when it was over, see, he didn't make any fast decisions.

And he'd usually bring in a lot of guys.

So he'd bring all the staff together.

And when you bounced it off all of them, some of that stuff Devin's talking about got filtered out.
