And we are back, folks, here on the Michigan Insider, on the Big 1050 WTCA, online at the

Big 1050.com, Sam Webb, Mr. Ira Winthrop. On the other side, back from what was,

the loss was obviously, you know, you hate to see your team lose, particularly in the game

where they clearly had their opportunities to win.

But my remark, and maybe this is reserved for other people who were there and who went,

man, that was an outstanding experience all the way around from two teams who don't need this game playing it to it actually being a really good game.

And to me, seeing Michigan role, Michigan came deep.

Ira, you said as we were in the break that a large

alumni base in the DMB. Granted, the airport was slammed with Michigan folks coming in from

all over the country. California. Yeah, Cali, Chicago. I mean, I was talking to people from everywhere in the airport. And my driver, he's like, man, what's going on? The city is slaned with people from out of town. I was like, Michigan, Duke. There was some Dukies, obviously. Yeah, Michigan travels well. We know. Michigan fans are really excited about this team.

It's a game that you have a long time ahead of time that you can prepare because it's not like the NCAA tournament where you have to win on a Sunday to know you're traveling on a Thursday kind of a thing, right? You have months to prepare. So there was that part of it. But I had a lot of conversations with people starting like the week before at like the women's game. I was talking to someone that sits near me they're like yeah my our daughter lives in the dc area and our granddaughter has a thing on sundays we're going to go to the game on saturday i had uh we were to

say we did two charity events on sat on friday night and at the first one i had multiple people

telling me they were getting on airplanes on saturday morning to go down to the game in D.C.

A ton of people flying, so obviously from here as well.

It doesn't surprise me. Michigan does travel well, and this team has really captured the imagination of the Michigan fans.

People are really, even despite what happened on Saturday night, which we'll talk about, but fans just really like this team.

And that adds to it too.

But fans, you know, probably fans spent a little bit less on football travel this year.

And so maybe they spent a little more, no bowl game travel maybe.

And so then they spend the money to go to D.C.

and sit for a nice fun weekend.

Yeah, it was, it was fantastic.
