But yesterday we heard from wide receivers coach Rom Bellamy, defensive backs coach Lamar Morgan.

We'll start on the offensive side of the ball.

and friends everyone doing well they're going to love it love you know a lot about Samay and

Fred we saw the clip of Samaj with the one-handed grab how have you seen them improve this

offseason they're older more You know, they just attacked the off-season. They know last year wasn't up to our standard and, you know, they challenged themselves. They challenged our room to be better. And then those guys, you know, being juniors now, being around the program, you know, their third year, they've been on the national championship team to understand what the standards are.

And, you know, daily, every day, they're chasing excellence. Anthony Simpson, now you've been able to work out with him since the last time we've talked to you. What kind of player is he, where you kind of see him fitting in? Yeah, he's a good player. explosive comes with production, you know, very, you know, familiar with a lot of things that we do, you know, where he came from his last stop

and, you know, his relationship with Coach Casula.

And, you know, he's been a great addition to our room.

Just another veteran presence, a guy that, you know, does things the right way, loves football.

And it's been spreading, you know, in our room.

We're going with Tony. Yeah, Ron, you said how last year it wasn't really up to your guys as standard. It's been a little while since there was a thousand-yard receiver in the room, I guess, with the new offense. How eager are you to maybe sort of rewrite the script of what's been going on? 2013, Jeremy Gallant. Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah, now, that's something we talk about.

You know, the guys, you know, obviously as a group collectively, our goal is to win, you know, beat our rivals, you know, win a conference and win a national championship.

But the guys do have individual goals and they understand, you know, the history of the receiver room in Michigan.

And, you know, it's, you know, what Coach Lindsay's bringing and, you know, what he's doing, what we're doing is an offense. It's been great. It's been great for receivers. It's been great for the team. You, I mean, you know the player in the year off. I mean, I know you know everything about Michigan football, but does it mean something to you? Are you ready to change that number? Absolutely. You know, every year. You know, every year you, and I felt like in 23, I felt like Roman was close to eclipsing that. We chose not to, you know, we're a very dominant team and a lot of fourth, I believe, seven, six or seven fourth quarters he didn't play in, that we didn't chase that number and it allowed guys like Samaj and Fred more to play their freshman year. So, you know, we're not a program that chases numbers, which was more on the developmental side of things. But, you know, it does come. You know, that's something that we talk about. The boys know that last 1,000-yard receiver has been gallant.
