Back to basketball for a few minutes here on the show as we are in the early stages of conference tournaments.

Seeing teams like SMU and the ACC lose, Indiana in the Big Ten lose.

And we are just constantly reminded, it seems like, on a day in and day out basis,

that the need to expand the NCAA men's basketball tournament is non-existent.

It shouldn't even be a conversation.

There is no conversation to even be had.

I understand how the NCAA when they changed their guidelines and it's not a requirement to have, was it, 25% access,

a membership, 25% of your membership that's playing at that level to have access to your postseason.

It's a guideline.

It's not a requirement.

And I know that as the NCAA tournament has stayed more or less the same, 64 to 68 is, you know,

they basically added a couple of teams because they added a couple of conferences over the years and then needed to keep the math.

But basically the tournament is not expanded a whole lot.

You've added a couple of teams, obviously, and that's it.

While they've added a lot of teams to Division 1A basketball, Division 1 basketball,

the thing is most of the programs that are added to Division 1 basketball are low majors

and maybe some mid-majors.

You don't expand the tournament because you have more low majors and mid-majors.

You just don't.

Those aren't the teams that are qualifying for the tournament anyway.

They're all won and done.
