The athletic is writing a series this week on rivalries.

And they're talking about how at this juncture, this critical moment in collegiate athletics,

they kind of wanted to take, apparently, they wanted to look at the top rivalries and see kind of where they stand apparently on as we go through this window of time.

I guess that's the premise.

So the top rivalry in the, of course, the top rivalry on their list naturally is Michigan, Ohio State.

It is the top of the list.

So Austin Meek, who covers Michigan for the athletic, and then their OSU guy,

I guess I can find his name for you, but I don't really read his stuff. He just happened to

co-write this one with Austin. They had an article yesterday, which led with the Michigan, Ohio

war from 200 years ago. And so I thought it was a great lead-in. I know a lot of us here,

we've probably heard the story. Obviously, if you grew up here, you've probably heard the story many times about the Toledo and UP and all that.

But Austin last night or yesterday during a day, he tweeted, he said,

interrupting debate about rivalry win versus national championship, which is the premise of the article.

And he says to say that as someone who spent last week in the UP,

Michigan definitely won the Toledo War.

And then he tweeted a picture as visual proof.

So, Austin, you're correct.

Michigan won the war, although it was not much of a true war.

But Michigan won the Toledo War by getting the UP.

It is majestic up there.
