So what is June when it comes to college football season?

June is publication season.

It's the beginning of the release of publications.

Of course, in July we get to, you know, conference media days and we get to watch lists and that kind of stuff.

But in June, we get Phil Steele, we get Athlons, we get Lindy's.

It used to be one of those things.

I was thinking about this the other day because I know the Phil Steel magazine is usually the first one that,

is it that Athlon or Phil Steel might be the first one that comes out and gets printed.

And it's a little bit different than it used to be because if you print something right now,

it might be different a month from now.

But that being said, while some of the things in print might be a little bit different,

it's still a staple of the off season.

What it used to be, used to get to like mid to late June.

So right, I guess right after Father's Day, give or take.

And when I was living in the D.C. area, you'd know the publications are starting to

come out.

And I would see, you know, at a borders or whatever in the D.C. area, I would see that the

college preview magazines were out. But in that area, the preview magazines, because everything was regional covers,

we'd have Penn State on the cover, Virginia Tech on the cover.

I'm sure I think the good programs at that window, maybe occasionally Maryland on the cover,
