Amongst other topics, big Monday here on the Michigan Insider,

but pretty solid weekend overall for the Detroit Tigers.

Now on Friday, they found themselves down early.

They were down 4-0 by the time we got through three innings. They rallied. They rallied all the way back through the fifth inning. It was a tie game. But then in the 8th inning, they gave up one run. They did not have any more left in them. And so the Tigers were unable on Friday night to finish off that rally.

And Jack Flared really struggled on Friday. That was really what the story of the game was. It was about the pitching where Jack goes three and two-thirds. And he gives up four runs on five hits, three walks. One of those was in there, one of the hits was a home run. He just really struggled on Friday night. So the pitching not good on Friday night. and the bats, while they were good, they weren't good enough because they were, they had those four runs in the middle of the game, but couldn't muster anything more than that. The rest of the weekend was really good. Saturday and yesterday. Saturday, what a phenomenal way to get things going because in the very first inning of the game, Dylan Dingler hits a three-run home run. And not just a three-run home run. It was a, this is one of those plays. I remember having conversations with Eric Backich about two out rallies, two-strike, two-out big hits. And this is one of those because there were two strikes, there were two outs. And Dylan Dingler hits a three-run, home run, Riley, and Cole Keith were on the basis. And so a three-run home run in the first inning on Saturday, Saturday night when you had a two-out, a two-strike two-out pitch. That inning should have been over. It wasn't over. It should have been over. It was not. And he and Dylan Dingler got the game going for the, got it going for the Tigers on Saturday. And they got really good pitching on Saturday from Cater Montero, six and two thirds, five hits, just one run, had a couple of strikeouts in there. But he was really good. And then Anderson comes in and finishes things off. He was very good out of the bullpen pitching two and a third, including three strikeouts in there for the Tigers to get the win. And then yesterday, really fun game for the Tigers yesterday. At the plate, you had a few guys making big impacts. Kevin McGonagall has been unbelievable. Now, his hitting streak was snap, but he's still batting 315. He was two for four yesterday, had a couple of RBI's.

Verling had a couple of RBI's in the game yesterday.

Torkelson had a two-run homer in there, so he had a couple of RBIs in the game.

And Hau-Lee, who came into the game on, was that Saturday that he came into the game?

It was Saturday he came to the game because Glaber Torres left with an injury.

And Huyuli came in and made some really good plays defensively.

Immediately he comes in the game on Saturday.

And immediately after he comes in the game, they basically said he's in the game.

We're not sure what is wrong with Glaber.

They told us later on on Saturday night and hopefully he'll be all right. But right, as soon as Lee was in the game, I think he had two outs that he made defensively in his first inning in the field. And then they went on from there. And then he was solid both hitting and in the field for the Tigers. Yesterday playing second base. He went one for three with an RBI in there.

So tigers get the win.

And we talk about the opposite ends of the pitching.

Jack Flaherty really struggling, trying to find things.

And he struggled on Friday night.

Cuytero was pretty good on Saturday night.
