The three-game series sweep at the hands of the Boston Red Sox, the lowly Boston Red Sox, who had recently fired their manager. Now, they did get Sonny Gray back from injury. He had been out for a couple of weeks, and he pitched really well yesterday.

He shut down the Tigers in his return from the injury,

and that earned the 4-0 victory for Boston, the three-game series sweep over the Tigers.

But it's a bigger-picture story or bigger-picture conversation than that when it comes to the,

when it comes to the Tigers, because obviously they're going to probably start to

slip a little bit in the division.

And now one game back in the division after they lost the game yesterday.

But again, bigger picture.

So prior to the game, a couple of pieces of news.

The first one was the Tigers prior to the game, plays Glabertores on a 10-day injured list,

which is retroactive to May the 4th.

He left with an oblique strain.

If you remember, he came out of the game early on, actually, I think it was early in the 3rd,

but he had, he left the game and obviously now was that the 14th player for the Tigers on the injured list.

Glaver-Rourdes becomes the 14th player, I believe, for the Tigers on the injured list.

That's outrageous.

Chase Young was recalled from AAA Toledo to fill the spot.

The other part of the pregame news from yesterday was that Framber Valdez was suspended for

six games for the pregame incident a couple of games ago on Tuesday night.

Now, he ended up not appealing, so it was dropped from six games to five games.

Regardless, he's going to miss a singular start.

That's the whole point of the suspension is just to have it missed a singular start or push his start back a day, I guess, could be what ends up happening. A.J.
