Terrific Sports Information Director for Michigan men's basketball.

He provided a clarification yesterday on Oscar Goodman.

We had discussed Oscar had arrived on campus.

The class of 2025 prospect from New Zealand arrived.

And we had first said based on the reports that he had reclassified, had enrolled early,

and he was joining the team.

He was going to redshirt, and then he'd be a redshirt freshman next season.

Part of that is correct.

Tom clarified.

He is in Ann Ann Arbor for Michigan's winter semester after graduating in November.

But he is not technically reclassifying because New Zealand's school year is a little bit different than ours.

If you think about it, right, because the southern hemisphere, the seasons are opposite.

So their school year should be a little bit opposite.

So he graduated on schedule, New Zealand's schedule in November.
