And then it continues Friday, Thursday night. And it continues Friday night. And then into Saturday for the conclusion of the draft. So we're now in these final days. It's the end of mock drafts and big lists and all that kind of stuff. and so just kind of reading some stuff,

Ravens or for your lions or for some of the Michigan guys just kind of reading a wrap I think

most of us at this stage if you're interested in the NFL draft and they have a clock countdown

clock going there's what 61 hours and 33 minutes until the draft until it begins.

That's a great, that's a perfect way to get into this part of the conversation because it's a TV event.

And there's a new rule this year that they are going now to eight minutes between first round picks as opposed to 10 minutes.

It's the first time the NFL has changed the timing of the first round since 2008.

It went from 15 to 10 back in 2008.

I had to go back and read the hand-wringing that we had from general managers and

administrators and other executives then complaining about losing five minutes per pick.

I can only imagine because you have GMs now complaining about losing two minutes per

pick in the first round.

And there was a complaint from the GM of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Omar Khan, about this.

He says, I'd love to have 10 minutes, but it's the same for everybody else.

Eight minutes is what it is.

But those two minutes, it feels like in eternity sometimes.

I only get 40 seconds to call play.

And so he's talking to Mike McCarthy's coach.

I only get 40 seconds to call a play will be fine.

See, the coaches are like finals, do it.
