So some news and notes from around the area starting locally.

And that led into the announcement that 2026 defensive back, Jordan Beck, had flipped from Baylor to Michigan.

There was also a report yesterday that Michigan men's basketball and Tennessee basketball are finalizing a preseason exhibition game to be played in Ann Arbor or at least in Michigan.

And I remember it was not that long ago, not that many years ago where you could have the opportunity as a basketball team to play two preseason, you know,

scrimmage type opportunity or have two preseason scrimmage type opportunities.

You still do, but it's you have two preseason opportunities and they used to be one of them,

if not both of them were like super secret scrimmages that nobody saw.

Now we have finally gotten to this point where you can have exhibition games in front of people against big time opponents.

And to be able to schedule Tennessee in an exhibition game as opposed to only playing an exhibition game against like a D3 or, you know, a really low, whatever it might be.

We've seen those kind of programs come in here, someone that you're going to essentially wipe the floor with. And that's fine and dandy and fun and all. But really what you love it in an exhibition game, again, that does not count is you really like to be challenged. And so Tennessee, Rick Barnes' squad, that's going to be a team. And I haven't looked at their squad yet. You just know that they're going to be a team that challenges you because they're a solid team. They're a Sweet 16 type team every single year. So Dusty knows that he needs to challenge his team to get him prepared. He's got to play as much as many challenging opportunities as possible. And so add one to your exhibition schedule. And so according to the report, Tennessee and Michigan are finalizing to have an exhibition game here in October.
