And it's time for our weekly check-in with Michigan men's lacrosse coach Kevin Conner.

Coach, welcome back to the show. How are you? I'm doing quite well. Thank you. All right. I mean, I know you're doing well, but at the same time, I don't know how well you can be doing when you have to make back-to-back trips to Columbus, Ohio. nobody can be doing that well.

I mean, that's a lot of time in Columbus, Ohio.

But that's, we'll get to the second trip in a moment.

First trip to Columbus this past Friday night. You were down there for the season finale. You always end your season against Ohio State and the big rivalry matchup. And Kevin, unfortunately, you were on the wrong end of what turned out to be a phenomenal lacrosse game. You got out to an early lead as big as a 4-1 lead in the first quarter,

As a lacrosse fan, that was a great game.

Obviously, from your perspective, there are some disappointments in there.

Sure, obviously we can look at the win and loss ratio there and be disappointed, but the end of the day, we get another opportunity to go back, meet our biggest rivalry in a, you know, winner take-all kind of matchup.

So, you know, you kind of look at it and go, okay, yes, we didn't come away on top the first round, but what it does is fuel us and give us a lot of fire for round number two.

All right, what went wrong in game number one that you guys can, so that you can build upon and learn from,

so you can get ready for the second matchup against them.

Well, I think one of the things we did well early was we really had some really good unselfish offball movement in our

offensive end it stalled out on us a little bit and so you know in terms of

offense production we felt like we left a little bit too much on the table and

tried to just be more individual rather than a team-based really good dynamic

offense so we're really looking at a few key possessions say hey hey, this is really what it should look like here. And then defensively, I thought we played really physical. We got up and down, and we were able to really cause some great turnover. So I think it's going to be one of those quality games that it's just who makes one critical error here and who makes one big time play there, you know, and that's going to determine the outcome in this one. I mean, that's what essentially determined the outcome in the first one. It's that kind of a really close nip-tuck kind of game. So how do you, when you come back and you know you're now jumping into the next season, it's the postseason and that much more is on the line. Obviously, you've already scotted Ohio State. you spent the previous week sc scouting the heck out of Ohio State. What does this week look like that maybe is different

than last week? This week is just simply, it's about us, right? We've got to find our

process, go through our week to figure out what works for us and remember who we are. There
