So yesterday we had an opportunity to catch up with Michigan's line coaches.

Coming up in a little bit, you're going to hear from a defensive line coach, Lou Esposito.

But right now we're going to start on the offensive side of the ball.

Here's offensive line coach Grant Newsom.

Now here are the Michigan insider on the big 1050 w tk what are some things you've learned about yourself

and coaching offensive line last year i think you learned a lot obviously you know it was getting back

to the position i played and you know kind of uh in my hell in this sense obviously love for tight ends

but not some different about the offensive line that I think you learned I played and kind of kind of a kind of a hell of this sounds obviously a lot of tight ends but

it's some different approach to the offense the line that I love and I think you learn a lot

about yourself anytime you face diversity and you know there was a challenge in here for us so

it forces you to kind of look at hey how can I be better so that I come to guys you

make sure I'm doing everything possibly due to put the guys in the best position to succeed.

So I obviously wish that they had to go through that,

but I do think any time you face that,

it makes you stronger as a program, stronger as a coach.

How do you feel like the adjustment has been with Chip's left, chip Lindsay so far in these first couple weeks of the spring practice?

Yeah, it's been very seamless.

Obviously he's incredibly, incredibly smart.

I've got a lot of experience in all offense.

And it's been, I think it's been great to incorporate a lot of what he's done with, kind of meshing with what we've done and I'm just
