Yesterday we heard from a couple of Michigan football coaches.

We get ready for the spring game, which is this Saturday at noon at Michigan Stadium.

We are in the final week of spring practices.

The final three practices are this week, including the 15th one, which of course is on Saturday at noon at the big house.

So yesterday we heard from a couple of assistant coaches coming up in a little bit.

We'll talk some special teams.

But right now we talk with defensive run game coordinator linebackers coach Brian

Jean-Marie, who met with the media yesterday.

He now is here on the Michigan Insider on the Big 1050 WTCA.

You guys had high hopes for your line back to your core last year with Jay Sean

first year. I guess how did he live up to your expectations last year? What are the steps you feel

like you can take under two? I thought, you know, for, you know, first time in the program and

I think I spoke on this before. It's, you know, our success comes from our culture in this building and the way we, you know,

go about our process.

And sometimes that's hard for people when they first get here.

And I thought he, you know, did a really, really good job because it takes time.

It takes time to, you know, really feel like you're part of the

team, no matter how talented you are, how much you bring to the table. And I thought he did a

really good job. And as the year went on, I thought he got better and better as the, you know,

as the season progressed and he was more comfortable with what we were doing on defense. And he's

been lights out this spring. He's, you can see we were doing on defense and he's been
