93 Sam Sword days away until the start of the Michigan football season.

Sam Sword from Sagina, Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw, Michigan.

You've heard Sam talk about Sam's high school days.

Well, Sam Sword arrived on campus here in 1995, was here through

1998, a linebacker for the Mays and Blue. He was on the 9 and 4 team in 1995, the 8 and 4

team in 1996. And he was the Roger, the Roger Zadkov Award winner for the best linebacker

in the team. And he was all Big 10 for the 12 and 0 1997 national champion Michigan Wolverines.

He was the Zatkoff winner again in 1998 when Michigan went 10 and 3 during his senior season.

At the time, he was eighth all time and tackles with 377.

Should probably take a look at that list.

It's been a minute since I've looked at it.

He was right around guys like Calvin O'Neill, who we've recently discussed. He had passed over a guy by the name of Mike Boren during the course of his career. Of course, very high in that list, Ron Simpkins, Jared Irons, Eric Anderson, the Paul, other guys that are at the top of the all-time tackles list. But Sam Sword had an unbelievable career for the maze and blue.
