Summary

Two brothers-in-law discuss their views on the local politics situation in Portsmouth, UK. In our inaugural episode - the upcoming council elections May 2nd. Please forgive that we go on a bit, that some of the technical stuff isn't fixed, and that the intro and exit music is clearly borrowed from iMovie. All views are our own. Don't bet your house on our predictions folks. No animals injured in the recording of the podcast.

1:06.0

from seeing us interact on those spaces is that sometimes we disagree. Yes, in terms of our Fair

City famous for its blue and yellow crest, it would be fair to say that I sit firmly in the

blue. Yes, and I sit firmly in the yellow corner. It's not really a corner though because

1:24.0

it's like in a middle. Yeah, no there are no corners we we perhaps should

1:28.9

have a labour representative joining us um we haven't so for balance on the dogmatic nature my guide

1:36.0

dog milsy will be giving any input today from the labour perspective but we're mostly going to focus

1:40.7

on the blue and the yellow excellent and if you hear any hear any kind of odd growling noises in the background,

1:47.1

that's because Ian's assistant's dog, Milsie, is obviously here with Ian.

1:51.1

And my cats, Midnight and Twilight, are not necessarily happy about that.

1:58.9

Which is a wonderful metaphor for the current political situation, where both the cats and the dogs are occupying the same space.

2:05.8

Not entirely happy with anything, but so far there's been no biting or gouging or anything untoward.

2:12.1

So let's hope that continues for the rest of the podcast.
