This is our first episode on the podcast, and we are so excited to spend our first episode with our guest and my co-host, Nick Stumbo.

Nick is an author, a speaker, and is our executive director here at Pure Desire. Thanks for being here, Nick. Yeah, I'm glad to be here. It's an exciting day and exciting to get a podcast going

for Pure Desire. I think it would be a great way for people to connect with us to grow in their journey

and hopefully be a part of the ministry with us. Awesome. Well, Nick's joining us today to talk about

peer desire, who we are, what we do, where we're headed. Nick, let's just jump right in. You

all right with that? Sounds great. That's why we're here. Okay. So, Nick, what is your role here at

Peer Desire and how long have you been in that role? Well, as you said, my title is executive director, still in some ways

figuring out what all that entails, because I've been here about 11 months, started at the

beginning of September. And it's been quite a journey for the ministry because, as many of the

listeners know, Ted Roberts is the founder, actually began it just as a ministry out of the local

church over 20 years ago. And so he essentially led the ministry for all those years. And then

about seven years ago, his son Brian came on board as the executive director, which at that time

really meant the operations and business side, and he and Ted

together were making decisions. And so I come on board as officially the third executive director after

Ted and Brian, but in some ways it's a brand new role because I'm not the founder. I'm not Ted,

and I'm not going to try to be Ted, but I'm also not Brian doing, who is still a significant part of our staff

doing the operations and business side.

But I stand in this middle place of working alongside of our counselors and our production team

and our events team and being the one that keeps us all on the same page and hopefully

sets a good course for what the future looks like.
