Well, welcome to God's planning for this, our first episode, The kickoff as it were. I'm Father Gregory Pine and I'm here with Father Patrick Brisco. How you doing there Father Patrick?

Hello everybody. So we are recording from Washington, D.C. and Providence, Rhode Island presently.

I'm assigned to the Thomistic Institute here in D.C.

And Father Patrick, you want to say just a word about what you're doing up there?

Yeah, my primary assignment is to St. Pius the Fifth Parish here in Providence, Rhode Island.

It's adjacent to Providence College, which the Dominican Order also sponsors.

So we are both sons of the province of St Joseph and we're Dominican friars or members of the Order of Preachers.

And we're here with again the first episode of our podcast called God'splaining and the

inspiration to have a podcast is in part fueled by the actual carism or what it is that inspires the order, what inspired St.

Dominic.

So maybe Father Patrick, you want to just talk a little bit about St. Dominic and kind of

his approach to preaching and how that brings us to the present.

Part of the idea behind the podcast is we wanted another place where we could share about our life.

Unlike other saints who left their religious orders. share about our life.

lots of writings, St. Dominic didn't leave us very much

in terms of the written word.
