We've got a lot to get to on this Friday edition of the Michigan Insider here on

the Big 1050 WTK, including, of course, the countdown of the 2025 Michigan football season,

which we'll get to in just a little bit.

Before we go any further, a reminder has now been 2036, 2036 days since Ohio State last beat Michigan

on the football field, 2036 days and counting since Ohio State last beat Michigan on the football

field. And it's been since yesterday since the Michigan football program announced a very

generous gift,

a $6 million gift from the Lester family.

And this gift is going to help finish off or help close the gap in the

capital costs with the expanded locker room at the football facility.

And so part of the gift is going to be put in an account for maintenance, but $6 million

to help with the renovation of the project.

And as a part of the donation, as we know, most donations come with some sort of a naming

of something.

In this case, it's actually the naming of two things.

One of them is that the team lounge is now going to be known as the Team 144 Players Lounge
