Head coach Sharon Moore had a lot to say. Of course, asked about quarterback. He was asked about

the NCAA, a few other things. So we'll get to a couple of his comments in a moment. You'll hear

Tigers baseball after a 50-minute rain delay late start out in Chicago.

And then actually, Tigers got off to a decent start.

Jack Flaherty, I think he threw 11 pitches in the first inning. And through four innings, he was good. Through four innings, he was pretty good. But then the fifth inning after the Tigers had scored a run in the fourth inning on a sack flyby when Sell Perez, which brought Kerry Carpenter across the plate to give the Tigers a brief one-nothing lead. That was in the and the bottom of the fifth the uh the wheels fell off five runs given up and uh all five are credited

to um to flarity although i think her didn't hurt her give up by part of that uh i think he was

the pitcher on the mound but the pitcher of record jack flaredy and then another run then another run in the 6th, another run on the 7th, two more in the 8th.

And at that point in time, they had scored a couple of runs in there, but they were down, what, 9 3 going into the 9th, and they were able to muster up a few more runs in the 9th on a Colt Keith home run. but 9-6, obviously falling short and not the kind of performance you're hoping for
