Now, I feature guests who have through hiked the Appalachian Trail,

the Pacific Crest Trail, the Florida Trail, the Long Trail, just to name a few,

Now let me tell you a little bit about me because I know you're just dying to know.

When I was 16 years old growing up in the Burlington Vermont area I caught the shit out of the hiking bug and I pretty much spent the next six years doing various backpacking and hiking trips.

Now during this time I completed the long trail two times and I hiked about 100 of the 111,000 foot peaks here in the Northeast.

Now this was all kind of leading up to 2018 when I set off to hike the Appalachian Trail.

I left on May 14th, I finished on October 1st, 140 days.

And as I was nearing the end of my through hike, I kind of knew that I had to find some way to stay connected with the trail community once I was back in normal life.

And I also knew that I needed to find an outlet to share my stories and the stories

of other hikers.

So I kind of thought to myself, why not start a podcast?

And then I immediately realized I have zero experience running a podcast or any sort of content

creation online. But at the end of the day, I was like, you know what?

I'm not going to let that hold me back.
