My name's Ron McGill and my biggest dilemma is that I'm considered kind of like the animal guy.

I'm supposed to be fearless around all kinds of animals and I love all kinds of animals.

But the bottom line is when it comes to roaches, I cannot stand them. They give me the creeps,

they freak me out and I don't know how to get over this obsessive fear, disdain for roaches.

So this dilemma is fascinating to me because I imagine that if someone comes to you, Ron,

with a weird fear of snakes or spiders or birds or whatever it is, you would tell them it's

irrational and you would explain to them all the ways that that animal insect rodent, whatever it is,

is an amazing creature. So I'm surprised you haven't been able to turn that psychology around on

yourself and tell yourself the many ways that cockroaches are fascinating and interesting and

marvelous and then therefore convince yourself not to be afraid or at the very least not to despise

them. For instance, how could you possibly hate roaches if you knew, which I'm sure you do,

that cockroaches are believed to be older than dinosaurs, that people believe, according to

research, that they've likely been around as early as 359 million years ago, that they can eat

just about anything, soap, paper, glue, dead skin cells, feces, cool. Also, they can hold their

breath for up to 40 minutes and they can live for up to a week without their head. So they got

that in common with stugots and you like him, right? The commission has spoken.
