From K-QED. A few years ago, my beloved Honda Accord died. I'd had it since my sophomore year of college, and it was the first major purchase I ever made.

That car took me from college through three jobs on countless road trips and ultimately on the

cross-country move that brought me to California.

When her transmission finally gave out, broken like so many other components inside her, I had

I joined the ever-growing throng of electric cars on California roads hoping to be part of the solution to our climate crisis or at least a step

in the right direction and also hoping that driving electric could help clean up our

air. But now I'm a few years in and a question always gnaws at me when I unplug my car from the grid, which is not 100% clean.
