I'm Lulu Smith, and here's the news you need to start your day. U.S. President Donald Trump will host his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, at the White House today.

It comes just days after Trump met Russia's president Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

Zelensky will be joined by several key European

leaders seeking a ceasefire to the war in Ukraine. On Friday, the Alaska summit with Putin ended

without any major news. No ceasefire agreements, no peace frameworks, but it might still have changed

the dynamics for diplomacy.
