We start with our world lead in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev now under a mandatory curfew

as Russian forces step up their bombardment of civilian areas around the city.

This is what is left of a residential apartment building in western Kiev.

The city's mayor says at least four innocent people were killed there after Russian

chelling earlier today.

A number of other buildings in residential areas were also hit this morning by the Russians

to the east and also to the north of Kiev.

Developing right now a hostage situation at a hospital in the south eastern town of

Mariopol where the city's deputy mayor tells CNN that Russian forces have seized
