0:05.0	Some say it's an appetite for knowledge, information, and understanding.
0:09.0	Others say Curiosity killed the cat.
0:13.0	NASA sent a rover named Curiosity all the way to Mars.
0:18.0	It's been exploring that planet since 2012, gathering data and collecting
0:22.9	images just to feed our thirst for knowledge and understanding.
0:29.8	About four years ago, I came across a short newspaper article, and pretty much from the
0:33.7	get-go, my curiosity could not be contained.
0:37.7	In 1976, a banker and his wife were kidnapped and murdered in the small, quiet town
0:43.0	of Zeeland, North Dakota, population 300.
0:47.2	They were killed by young men with local ties.
0:50.1	One of them went to the same church as the victims.
0:53.7	They were caught, convicted, and given life sentences,
0:56.7	and there's never been any doubt about their guilt.
0:59.9	So, why my curiosity?
1:02.6	Perhaps because of the missing pieces.
1:05.4	A lot of the pieces were in place, the who, where, when, and how,
1:08.8	although I would discover that even some of those were inaccurate
1:12.6	and needed to be replaced with the corrected ones. But completely missing was the why. Why?
1:18.9	Well, it was a senseless crime, people say. In fact, when the banker and his wife were
1:25.0	buried, the pastor at the funeral said, things
1:28.0	happen which we cannot understand.
