Welcome back to Watch Time, your weekly podcast where we break down the behind the scenes of YouTube culture.

Today we are getting into a really interesting topic and we're going to be talking about the concept of

youtubers and YouTube relatability and what happens when youtubers lose their

relatability and the flex. you is a couple things that have happened in the last couple weeks that have brought up the concept of

reliability. But I think what makes this such an interesting topic is the fact where you think about what makes

you tubers so interesting and so successful and for me one of the reasons I

always think that you tubers is so successful is because they hit this balance between

relatability and aspiration and relatability being that people can look at

YouTubers that have a hundred subscribers or a million subscribers or ten million

subscribers and oftentimes what you can see from those videos is not that different.

So there's this element of it that I think allows people to think like, hey, that could be just

like me. You know, like I look at you right now and all I can see is that you're in a room with a black background and you're wearing a hoodie and you don't look, is that some laser beam match?
