Somewhat in honor of this podcast Caroline I decided to really immerse myself in YouTube beauty beauty videos and there are so many beauty videos out there on contouring something that I've still not really masters it's video magic I don't understand.

It really is but I decided to give it a world partially because as a YouTube host myself I mean my makeup game is not where it should be on camera I'll put it that way.

So I went to a makeup store and bought a contouring stick.

I had one of the clerks show me how to do it again voodoo magic I walked out she was very confident I would know exactly what to do I was clueless but my face looked flawless thankfully and I sat down yesterday with my contour stick and you to try to watch all of these videos and clown painted my face and I don't I think I've gotten a little bit better but I'm still a little intimidated almost seeing how good so many of these.

Gooties are just transforming their face I look in the mirror I'm like I but mine doesn't look like that what am I doing wrong I can't even say that I'm intimidated by them it's the same kind of thing if I were to say like I'm intimidated by Cindy Crawford or Jazeal it's like I'm just never gonna.

I'm not playing in the same leagues so like with these beauty vloggers who.

Just in front of your eyes can transform their faces it's just like I just sit there with my mouth.

A gate watching I watched a couple of beauty videos in the past nothing to like necessarily try to imitate just watching the transformational magic as it happens I have gone in search of hair how to's because I have my hair is pretty fine and straight naturally and so I'm always looking for tips on like how do they just do.

I'm just gonna go out and do a style and make it look effortless and easy is that what you Google yeah that they do excisey stuff yeah how do they do xyz stuff you'd be amazed at the results that you come up with and your hair is like a exisee fabulous.

Oh is he snap it's totally working but we wanted to talk about beauty on YouTube the whole beauty guru beauty vlogging phenomenon today because it's huge to put it in later.

It's huge it's huge and it's also redefining the beauty industry it's also given all of these young girls in particular an entrepreneurial platform and I was really curious from a staff mom never told you perspective to look at the space online and see.
