The boy was emaciated, had wounds on his body and duct tape on his wrists and ankles.

The boy asked the resident to call 911 and when police arrived, they found a 10-year-old girl,

also starved and abused in the same house the boy had escaped from.

When the mother of the children was found, she turned out to be well known to the world

as she had once been a successful YouTubeer with millions of subscribers.

The world had watched her rise and fall, but they could never have imagined what was really

going on behind closed doors. This is monsters. Oh, Ruby Griffiths was born on January 18th, 1982 in Utah to Richard and Linda Griffiths.

She was the second of four children born into a devout Mormon family.

She was described as a happy child who enjoyed singing, dancing,

and participating in church activities. Under the surface, though, her parents had high expectations

and the pressure caused her to develop anxiety and low self-esteem.

Despite those challenges, Ruby participated in the Mormon Church's seminary program

that included classes on LDS history.

She excelled in school and got a scholarship to Brigham Young University.

There she studied English and music, hoping to one day become a novelist.

At the university she met Kevin Frankie who was a mechanical engineering student in 2001.

The couple got married at the LDS temple in Salt Lake City in 2003 and immediately started a family.
