Summary

In moments of darkness when you feel lost, desperate, and overwhelmed, Jesus stands by your side, offering light, hope, and healing. As you embrace the light and experience transformation in your life, you'll be empowered to extend that same healing and hope to others with Jesus by your side. “As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. Jesus did not let him, but said, ‘Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.’ So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.” (Mark 5:18-20 NIV) For more information, visit lakepointe.church/dailydrive

Such a great story of hope.

And although we can't relate with this whole living naked among the tombs,

0:56.3

we can't identify with this stuckness, can't we? We can relate to the stronghold that had him in

bondage. Lots of us have been there. And lots of us have also encountered Jesus and the freedom

1:06.2

that only he can bring. So I love how this story ends. Verse 18 says, as Jesus was getting into the boat,

1:13.6

the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him.

1:17.6

But Jesus said, no, go home to your family.

1:21.5

Tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been.

1:25.4

So the man started off to visit the ten towns of that region

1:28.8

known as the Decapolis and began to proclaim the great things Jesus had done for him, and everyone

1:34.6

was amazed at what he told them. I like what the artist Lecrae says. If we can be honest about our

1:41.1

scars, we can show other people that wounds can heal.
