Dear young married couple, it's that time of year where you're going to holiday parties with

extended family or friends

and you have those obligatory conversations about nothing. Or maybe your favorite football team

or maybe the weather, but it really feels shallow and obligatory. Yeah. I mean, maybe some, sometimes you just don't have the energy to go deep

and maybe that's not your thing. But for some people, it really does help them feel seen and known.

So full disclosure, I like to be asked about my life and what's going on. And I want to share those things.

And oftentimes the people that I care for, I actually want to know what's happening in their life,

what they're working on. And so this is definitely a way of creating some emotional connection

with the people that you love.

Yeah. And so we're going to give you five scripts for having a deeper conversation with whether

it's just the people you love or even it could be people that you want to love or you want to get

to know more about, but you're not super close to them. So you feel like you have to stay shallow um but before we get to those five scripts first we just want to give

you a little caveat it would feel weird if you see this person twice a year and you sit down on a couch

and you go straight in this a deep question like we're going to you. So don't take this as an actual conversation starter.

Do start with some of the shallow stuff like, you know, how's work going for you?

The natural, not like, you know, how's the weather?

But the natural conversations that are a bit more surface level.
