Good morning. I hope you're ready to get your mind to line with the truth of God

and I realize it may not be mourning for you right now. Wherever you are listening,

but that's okay.

The morning mindset is just designed to help us get our minds on the truth of God for this day.

We've been looking through the first chapter of the book of first Peter.

We're in verse number 10 and today we're going to take a longer section

because it all ties together really neatly.

We're going to go verse 10 through verse 12 and Peter is talking about our

salvation that comes to us through our true belief in Jesus Christ and he says

concerning this salvation the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours,

searched and inquired carefully, inquiring what person or time the spirit of Christ to end them was indicating

when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories.

Okay let's pause for a moment make sure we're all tracking here. He's saying when the prophets of old who wrote the Old Testament and received prophecies directly from God to be written down.

When they were receiving those prophecies, they were very curious.

They didn't always understand fully what it was God was giving them to write down.

Can you imagine being in those shoes?

writing down things that you know God is giving you but you don't quite understand.

That's where these prophets were at. They were writing down God's word and wondering,

what is this talking about?

So they searched and they inquired carefully.

And my assumption is they searched other scriptures as well as what they were writing down.

They prayed about it, they were seeking God, and they were inquiring what person and what time in the history of the world the spirit was indicating when he was
