Summary

Jesse shares a couple lessons about kids and money he's learned from parenting seven children, and how kids often learn as much or more from the things you do with your money rather than what you say about money. 0:22.3	joyfully, it all comes down to just giving every dollar a job. Or in this instance,
0:27.5	maybe having your kids watch you give every dollar a job. There was several years back,
0:32.4	a CNBC survey, and it found that 83% of Americans think parents should be the ones to teach their kids about money.
0:41.3	That doesn't seem like a surprise.
0:42.8	I think parents mostly teach their kids about everything.
0:46.9	Maybe not new math.
0:49.2	Maybe not that.
0:50.3	Out of all the parents surveyed, however, here's the twist for us.
0:54.6	Nearly a third of them said they never spoke to their kids about money.

1:02.6	A guy that obsesses about money and maybe talks about it too often?

1:07.4	Psychologists have been telling us for years that kids don't listen to what we say, and that's not a surprise, especially once they know everything in their 14.
1:17.5	But they observe.
1:18.7	They observe like crazy.
1:20.3	And I've been shocked.
1:21.1	We're in the midst of raising our seven kids, and I am shocked at the things they remember that were formative for them where I don't
1:28.7	remember sitting down and saying, hey, here's lesson 26 about blah, blah, blah.
1:32.8	I also remember one time watching my dad sweep out the garage and he was a weird one in the
1:37.8	sense that he thought cars go in the garage.
