Summary

In today’s episode of The Kim Constable Podcast, I am discussing how you only lose when you quit. So many times when I started fitness programs in the past, I gave up disheartened, after only a couple of weeks because the results I got didn’t match the results I wanted or expected. So I thought I must’ve been doing something wrong. However, what I realised over the years is that just because we are not getting the results we want doesn’t mean we’re not getting the results we deserve. The only way to ultimately achieve your goal is to keep going. Because there’s no way to lose if you don’t quit. In this episode I talk about my own experience of giving up and what finally got me over the finish line and beyond. If you to have a habit of quitting, then you’re definitely going to want to listen in. Hey there, how you doing? Kim Constable here. Nobody cares. Work harder. How are you doing this week? Are you all having a fabulous week? I really hope you are. It is Sunday morning. I'm just sitting in my very quiet office here. I love to come and record the podcast on a Sunday morning in the office simply because I'm feeling fresh from the weekend. It's quiet. There's no one here. I get to think about it. I get to connect with you all. And so one of my favorite things to do is to come to my office on a Sunday and record this podcast. So here we are again

0:38.7

and what are we going to talk about today? Well, I have been saying a lot of, and I mean a lot,

0:45.7

like a lot, a lot, a lot of complaints, I guess, or not really, well, yeah, okay, let's call them,

0:52.1

let's call a spade of spade. A lot of complaints in the

0:54.7

four-week shredded body competition group about women feeling deflated because they're not seeing

1:00.9

changes that they expected to be seeing in week two of the competition. So for context, let's just

1:07.8

give you a bit of background in what's happening in this competition. Well, the women are

1:12.1

following a macro and calorie controlled diet. They are performing cardio twice a day. They are training

1:19.0

either at home or in the gym six days a week and they are meal prepping on a Sunday and they are

1:26.6

listening to coaching calls and they're really

1:28.6

putting forth a lot of effort to lose body fat. And we're now at the end of week two and I'm really

1:39.4

not sure what kind of stunning transformation a lot of the members are hoping to see.

1:46.9

But I am seeing a lot of people very, very disappointed, wanting to throw in the towel,

1:52.0

wanting to give it all up because they're not seeing the changes that they expected or would like.

1:58.1

And so I thought a little podcast was in order so that I could talk about what's

2:03.9

going on in the body, but more importantly, what is going on emotionally for these women that would

2:09.6

cause them to get upset and disappointed enough to throw in the towel after only two weeks

2:17.2

on a fitness program. And so that is what we're

2:20.5

going to talk about today. And I could bring up, like I could have pulled up a post from one of the

2:23.6

women, you know, saying about, you know, here's my before and after photos and I'm really not

2:27.2

seeing much change. And I'm so deflated and I feel depressed. I mean, there has been so, so, so many of these. So if this is you listening to this and you're like,

2:35.5

oops, that was me. I put in that post. I please don't want to want you to feel judged, okay,
