So like the rules of this game are a little bit different?

So we're playing Edge of the Empire tonight.

Edge of the Empire is a Fantasy Flight Games, Star Wars, RPG, and the rules are a little different

than, actually a lot different than Dungeons and Dragons.

Let me get the dice out real quick and I will show everyone what they look like.

Jesus God. So instead of rolling D20s what you have in this game are basically ability dice and difficulty dice and difficulty dice which look like so. I can't find my camera and

if you see on there there are various little symbols which you can roll and

basically what can happen is

There are success roles and there are failure roles and there are also advantage roles and disadvantage roles or what are they called threat

roles something like that threats and so basically what can happen on any given role is you can succeed and generate an advantage or you could maybe succeed and generate a threat. You could fail and generate an advantage.

So it gets complicated and basically the way it works is whenever something good happens,

the players will sort of say what happens.

And whenever something bad happens,

I will say what bad thing happens.

So that is the basic system. There are also bigger dice like this for things you are proficient in and there are bigger bad dice as well for things that you are that are very difficult or for some reason you need to have a tougher time doing it.

There are also Boost dice which make things a little bit easier, and Setback Dice, which make things a little bit harder.

there's also a destiny pool which I will pull this little cardboard thing out, which comes in a bag that the things don't fit out of, so you have to rip the bag in half.

There is a destiny pool which is made up of these little tokens which are dark on one side and light on the other side.
