Welcome to the rewire podcast. I'm your host, Ryan Stumann, and I'm here to rewire your mind for success.

You were put on this planet for success. You were created to succeed, but the force of average is after you every single day, my brothers and sisters.

0:16.1

And this podcast is the one thing that's designed to help you fight the force of average and excel in every

0:22.1

area of your life. We're glad that you're here. Okay, on yesterday's episode, I talked about

0:27.9

the force of average being old training for centuries and the distractions that we got to fight,

0:33.7

right? So one of my favorite things about that is the dog that chases two rabbits

0:37.7

catches neither. Them rabbits split. That dog's got to make a decision. You're never going to

0:42.9

catch both rabbits. And if you're chasing both of them and they split, you're never going

0:46.4

to get either one of them because you can't chase both of them. So let me tell you a story.

I used to be one of these guys who thought it was cool to have 50 jobs. I owned a bunch of

0:56.9

companies, had shares in a bunch of companies, and, you know, it was bragged about being, I'm the

1:01.4

CEO of nine companies. And I look up and I'm like, if I would have just focused nine companies

1:07.6

of effort into one solid company, then that one company would put a hundred

1:12.1

times the output. But here I am juggling multiple companies chasing two or more rabbits.

1:18.6

And I always thought, well, you need multiple streams of income. But that doesn't necessarily

1:23.9

mean go create a new company, go create a, you know, let's say I'm in the roofing business. That doesn't mean go create a coaching company go create a you know let's say I'm in the the roofing

1:28.2

business that doesn't mean go create a coaching program let's say that I'm in the coaching

1:32.7

business that doesn't mean go start a software company I thought it did but let me share with

1:37.8

you how the force of average damn near took me out I got spread so fucking thin that I couldn't

1:43.1

run anything and now you might be thinking well you know I got a I got my so fucking thin that I couldn't run anything. And now you might be thinking,

1:45.3

well, I got my main job as a plumber and then I flip houses on the side. But let's walk through

1:51.7

that guys. Main job is a plumber. Let's say make $250,000 a year owning a plumbing operation.
