Summary

Episode 4 of You Killed Chris: A Friend’s Fight for Justice follows the police effort to seek public assistance in solving Christine Rothschild’s 1968 murder. Investigators interview surgeon Niels Jorgensen, the man Linda had reported for harassing Christine. Determined to uncover the truth, Linda discreetly contacts hospital staff and members of Jorgensen’s family. Through these conversations, colleagues and relatives provide insights into the troubling story of Niels and his connection to the case. The investigation into Christine's murder seemed to be an uphill battle from day one.

Two days into it, Wisconsin newspapers told concerned readers that the task force was seeking assistance from the public. They needed

witnesses and clues, they needed a murder weapon and a motive. They needed help. One of the early

trails they pursued was a rash of recent attacks and muggings on and around the UW campus.

Three days after the murder, the mayor of Madison had a meeting with his

citizens' advisory committee to discuss the recent street violence. For example, on Saturday

Avenue. On Sunday night, a 22-year-old man was dragged from his car and beaten.
