We are broken.

This entire country is broken, the people, the government, every policy, every issue.

And in many ways, the so-called right is even more broken because they claim to recognize

the magnitude and scope of the problems, but then undermine every ability to actually deal

with it, embrace those ideas and people who are part of the problem, repudiate and dump

upon those who try to fix it.

So we are a broken and fallen people.

But let's be clear, nothing is inevitable, nothing is always permanently lost or ever
