Summary

Yayoi Kusama knew she wanted to be an artist from the first time she experienced a hallucination as a child. Her world of colors, dots, and infinite possibilities could not be contained within her head. So, she left her hometown in Japan to pursue a life in art in the United States. Through her signature art style, Yayoi has challenged gender norms, made sense of her visions, and brought a fantastical world of wonder to life. This podcast is a production of Rebel Girls. It’s based on the book series Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls. This episode was narrated by Piera Gelardi.
