Summary
John Cena recreates the infamous CM Punk 2013 Pipebomb Promo ON CM PUNK! WWE SmackDown 6/20/25 full show review, and results with @JDfromNY on Off The Script. SmackDown is in the books, and honestly, I was split on it. There were some solid moments, some forgettable stuff, and one segment that absolutely delivered. LA Knight got jumped by Bronson Reed after going after Seth Rollins again. Randy Orton vs. Sami Zayn was strong, and Orton advancing to the King of the Ring finals makes sense. Same on the women’s side. Asuka beating Alexa Bliss was predictable, but it sets up a solid finals matchup. The highlight of the night? CM Punk and John Cena recreating the 2013 pipebomb segment. That was electric. It felt like a callback done right. Great delivery, great crowd reaction, and a rare reminder of how good WWE can still be when they lean into real emotion and history. The main event with Cena vs. R-Truth didn’t land quite as hard, and the DQ finish felt like filler, but the post-match storytelling saved it.
