Summary

Solomonster reviews WWE Monday Night Raw for October 30th, the final Raw before Crown Jewel, with a hard push towards the Cody Rhodes/Damian Priest match and Seth Rollins against Drew McIntyre with two excellent promos from both men. The Creed Brothers from NXT also answered the Alpha Academy's open challenge and had a great debut. But WWE is also trying again with The Miz as a babyface and it never works in the long term. Finally, this is a Be The Booker segment to close out the show that you will not believe.

Tonight was the final WWE Raw before Crown Jewel, which is coming up this Saturday in Riyadh,

0:06.4

and it was a much better show than the one they put on last week.

0:10.9

At no point during tonight's show did I feel as if I was about to pass out and fall asleep.

0:15.7

So that's a good sign, so a definite improvement from last week,

0:19.6

and they did a very good job, I thought, of really pushing the key raw matches that are on the

0:24.7

show at Crown Jewel. In the main event tonight, we had Sami Zayn and Damien Priest,

0:29.9

which ended at a very lame disqualification finish, a terrible finish to the main event. But

0:35.7

Cody Rhodes came out, and Cody Rhodes got on the mic, and he cut a fiery promo on Damien Priest,

0:41.4

calling him a walk behinder, trying to create some more friction between the members of the

0:48.6

Judgment Day and talking about how his story runs through Damien Priest this Saturday at Crown

0:54.9

Jewel. No mention of the briefcase being on the line, so I thought maybe they would add it,

1:00.3

no money in the bank contract on the line. But what I enjoyed the most was the build to the

1:06.8

World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre. And Drew McIntyre was

1:12.8

not on the show, but they had a very, very good video package that really drove home,

1:21.2

he'll characterise what it is that has really stuck in this man's crawl now for the last

1:27.3

three years, going back to when he won the championship in 2020 in front of no fans at WrestleMania.

1:33.3

His story arc goes all the way back there, and it laid out all of his frustrations. It mentioned

1:39.4

the fact that his first title defense coming out of that first reign was against Seth Rollins,

1:44.8

and now he was going to take the World Heavyweight title away from Seth. I thought it was very well done,

1:50.3

Seth had an equally excellent rebuttal in his promo live on the show tonight, so that's really

1:56.6

what impressed me the most was the build to the World Heavyweight Championship match, which honestly,

2:02.4

is one of the matches I am most looking forward to on Saturday. And the Drew McIntyre character
