2024 has been a pretty great year for wrestling in general, but when you consider that a former world champion not kicking out of a move and kind of ruining a match finish is the very first and therefore least ruinous entry on this list, it's pretty clear that there's a whole lot of bad to be taken with the good.

Hello there, my very good friends, I'm Andy from What Culture and who else is going to

present the 25 worst wrestling moments of 2024? Number 25, Damien Priest doesn't kick out. And to be

very clear before diving into this, we're only talking about things that happened on shows here.

Television, pay-per-view and press conferences. There are obviously, objectively worse things

playing out elsewhere in wrestling that absolutely dwarf these creative mishaps, talking about

the Janelle Grant lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurenitius and WWE, for example.

This list is all about the shows. So, considering how important production has been to WWE historically and

during the current period, we've seen more than a few notable awkward mess-ups in high-profile

moments. Some, like the New Catch Republic's WrestleMania entrance being hijacked by a frozen

graphic, are mere annoyances, but nothing that really breaks your immersion. You just laugh at them and move on,

really. Others, like Damien Priest failing to kick out of a Seth Rollins move during a world

title matchup, Money in the Bank, are a bit more distracting. Priest had a good run after winning

the world title at WrestleMania, building a reputation as a wrestler who could excel beyond

the Judgment Day, but this was an uncomfortable

misfire that diluted the energy in the building.

In priest's own words, however, I'm okay, everything's fine, and the story continues.

We all moved on from this, but it was pretty awkward on the night.

Number 24, Callis Family Confusion.

Another seemingly indistinct angle this may have been, but Don Callis kicking

Will Osprey from his family for the second time, after Will had already amicably walked away,

was an irritating indictment of how little attention is still being paid to many AEW stories.
