Hello and welcome back to the Psych Legal Pop podcast. This is a podcast where we talk about

popular culture through the lens of an attorney and a therapist. I'm the therapist, Des Brigham,

and I'm Brooke Brigham. I'm the attorney. And today we are talking about a Netflix series

called Worst X Ever. We're not going to talk about the entire series, because I will tell you,

I've watched all four episodes, and it's dark. And you cannot binge this. Do not, if you've not

watch these, don't binge them. But this one, we picked episode three. I actually picked it because I thought it was really interesting.

It's called Killing for Custody. And what's interesting about it is, is that it's the roles are

reversed. So it's a what we normally see and what we had seen, you know, in so many of these

TV shows, it's usually a man, um, torturing a woman or, you know, being a narcissist and

making your life hell. And, uh, if you watch episode two of this series, you know, it just this,

this one guy like, you know, got it so that this woman was falsely imprisoned for, you know,

seven, eight months. It's unreal.

I mean, it's unreal. So this was interesting because it's really that it's the woman that

is the aggressor and the murderer, not the man. And also, it took place here in the Bay Area.

So I thought, hey, that might work for us. So, so this is a story of Eric and

Rosa. And so it starts off, we meet Eric, and Eric is, you know, he's working for the county of

Alameda County. And he says, you know, he's not a very social guy, kind of shy, kind of nerdy, kind of shy.

And he ends up sitting, you know, he gets this job and he ends up sitting next to this woman,

May, and May, he and May become friendly, and May is a bit older. And so she's fun and friendly.

She has lots of friends at the company,

you know, at the company. And then in October of 2002, she may invites him to go on a hike.

And who was at the hike was her daughter, Rosa. And, you know, they meet and Rosa and Eric hit it off.
