And since we last spoke, we missed some epic baseball. I was awake. I hope you were to six hours, 40 minutes, about 3 a.m. Eastern when

Freddie Freeman went Big Fly to end the 18 inning game. I was rooting for game three to go,

25, 26 innings. I was rooting for a sunrise. I was sitting there watching, thinking to myself,

how quickly would I convene a meeting were I to be the commissioner

to start talking about the ghost runner in the postseason?

Because those type of 18 inning games,

they're just not good for the teams or the players or the broadcasters or the fans. The quality of baseball goes right into the crapper.

Everyone is just swinging down on the knob,

trying to hit the home run trying to walk it off

ghost runners cause small ball get the runner over get the runner in when you need a run you're

going to get a run you may think that i'm wrong, but here's why you should reconsider your evaluation of whether

or not I'm right or wrong.

I want you to picture during the regular season what happens during a game that goes into extra innings.

During the course of the game,

you're sitting there with the GM,

the president of the team, and you're watching the game.

Then as the game progresses,

you're starting to think about the next game.

As the game goes into extra innings,

you're looking at the pitching, you know who's available to go. And if a game goes 14, 15, 16, 17

innings in the regular season, you're on the phone to your player development people. You're on
