This is our World Cup Draw reaction special with me, Tom Clark, and as usual, I'm joined by the former Scotland,

under 21 international and football journalist Gregor Robertson.

And for the first five minutes of this show, we also have the Sunday Times football correspondent and the man who will be following England next summer, Johnny Northcroft.

Now, Johnny, unlike FIFA, we're going to keep this snappy and short, as I know you're writing a reaction piece, which listeners can read on the Times website very soon.

But just a few quick questions. Firstly, your reaction to England's

Group L drawn against Croatia, Panama and Ghana. How do you think Thomas Tuchel will feel about

that one? Yeah, well, Tucco was impassif when the camera went to him in the arena, but I think

he'll be secretly pleased. They won't be ecstatic. It could have been a better draw, but

it could have been a lot worse. I tend to try and look at the detail of these things because England tend to get through their groups. So it's more what does it mean for the tournament. And, you know, a couple of things England start very late. Groupel's the last one to start.

It strikes me that

it's going to mean a really long

camp, which is a test for

one of the England

sort of factors that we've

seen derail previous tournaments.

You know, so from when they arrive

in Florida to play the warm-up games,

could be something like June the first.

It would be 16 days before the first game.

But avoid, you know, the big guns until I think there's round of 16 could play Brazil,

possibly Argentina and a semi-final, but the last two teams that
