I'm your host Corey Miskara and in today's episode I'm going to share a four-part sequence for working with fear.

First, let's settle in together with the sound of the bells. Okay. Okay, so let's talk about fear.

Fear is something we've all experienced in our life at different times and in different contexts.

It's a very normal, primal part of being a human being and it's something that can help keep us safe and protected and thinking about

things that could potentially go wrong and making sure we prepare for those things.

It's also something that can get in the way of living the life we

want to live, taking important risks, having difficult conversations, and despite some of the ways it can get in the way of our life,

I've really come to appreciate this energy of fear

and the loving intention behind it.

It's trying to protect you, trying to serve you in some way,

make sure that you're okay.

And even though it can feel misguided at times it wants you

to be happy or in its mind it wants you to be alive but that's happiness to it.

And I think just starting by changing our relationship to fear,

as this part of us that is trying to serve us in a positive way,

makes it less of an enemy and more of something we can dance with and work with.

And just because fear is there doesn't mean that we can't do the thing that we're fearful of. I'm sure you've had many examples of that.

And I think it's a powerful part of growing to feel this fear, meet it, and still move forward.
