We have some Mavs items to get to, starting with Cooper Flag.

He and the Mavs Summer League team had their second game on Saturday afternoon against

Dylan Harper, the second overall pick in the San Antonio Spurs.

They did not win the game, but Cooper Flagg himself looked a lot better, more assertive, got his shot to fall,

showed his crazy power and athleticism.

I think he did a way better job, DJ, of just reminding people, even if it was just a

momentary lapse in the first game of the summer league, why he is

considered an amazing prospect. Yeah, I think that really the question that people are going to

have leading up to the start of the season is just how much of an impact his rookie year is he

really going to have? And I think there have been questions

about, okay, he's strong for his age, he's strong for college basketball. How is that going to

translate to the next level? And you don't really get a good gauge of that from these summer

league games because you're just playing against other kids, basically. So, but he definitely asserted himself in both of these games.

He showed that he is going to have mismatches.

He does have handles.

He does have a well-rounded game to where you feel like he can use his size on the wing,

where he can kind of lean into a guy and just pull up for a fadeaway jumper

after that, creating a little bit of space for himself.

So you don't have to, it just feels like he's very versatile.

And I'm just very curious about how he's going to be worked in as a Maverick because

you have so many options.

You have such a need as well for him
