The other big news yesterday in the NBA that we cannot ignore.

This is something that's been percolating for a long time.

Phoenix with not a lot of

options in their entire situation. They had to make a move getting Kevin Durant out of there

and it happened as Kevin Durant is now a Houston rocket. He was moved for Jalen Green, Dylan Brooks, the 10th pick in Wednesday's draft, as well

as five second round picks, which doesn't seem like a lot, especially whenever you compare

that to what it cost Phoenix to acquire Durant, not that long ago, but if you listen to the experts and you hear the other

teams that were at least partially in the mix, this was no doubt the best offer that they were

going to be able to get for Kevin Durant's situation and just where he's at in his career,

where he's at contract-wise, what it's going to take to resign him in his advanced age.

And Houston, with their young core, great defensive team, a lot of athletes,

a lot of effort on defense, Kevin Durant to Houston was the move

that actually made the most basketball sense.

And at that price, I don't think Houston could afford to not add an all-time great like this.
